Steven Tennessen, President
Steve is the President and founder of Astron Electronics, Inc.  Astron was started in 1994 after a successful stint in distribution.  Steve was part owner and CEO of Inductive Components and Crystal, a component distributor based in Orange County.  In 2000, Astron, acquired Gravley and Associates a very well-known and well respected manufacturers' representative firm in Southern California.  The successful marriage of the two companies helped Astron grow to become one of the premier manufacturer's representative firms in Southern California.

Steve was educated at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in Business. He is an active member of ERA National and Southern CA ERA.  Steve was past President of the Southern California ERA Chapter and currently holds the Vice Preseident postition with the Radio Pioneers, an exclusive electronics industry group started in 1929 based solely in Southern CA.

Michael Singer,  Field Sales Manager - San Diego & Imperial
Mike is our field sales manager.  He brings over 30 years of Sales Management and Field Sales experience, 10 of them with Astron. He is well versed in multiple industrial and technology manufacturing processes. He has a strong background in selling many types of Electronic Components. Mike has a Bachelors Degree in Business from the University of Phoenix. Mike and several of his customers are members of the Palomar Amateur Radio Club in San Diego. He holds an Amateur Extra License.  Mike is an active member of the San Diego chapter of ERA, IMAPS, and AFCEA.  Mike calls on design engineers, project managers, and purchasing managers to ensure new business.

Debra Reiter, Field Sales - Orange County

Prior to joining Astron, Debra was in field sales for the Hilti Corporation, where she sold high-performance tools to the construction industry.  Debra graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a BA and a minor in Physical Education.  Debra has been with Astron for over 9 years.  She has successfully penetrated many OEM's and has grown her territory to one of the larger ones in the company.  Her personality and professionalism help her earn key relationships with key OEM’s. Debra, calls on design engineers, project managers, and purchasing managers to ensure new business.

Tash Vlasho, Field Sales - LA, Ventura, Santa Barbara, Kern, & San Luis Obispo.
Tash graduated from The Ohio State University, with a BA in English and History.  Tash has performed as a sales, marketing, and business development executive for the past 25 years.  Tash begin his career as a passive and electromechanical manufacturers rep in Southern California before progressing to Managing Partner for silicon valley based Premier Technical Sales, a leading specialty silicon rep organization.  As a member of the founding team and Vice President of Sales for Aprisa, Tash helped pioneer the advent of advanced component data residing in searchable databases housed at distributor and manufacturer websites.  Today Tash is pleased to bring quality and innovative solutions to the Astron customer base.

James Kutscher, Field Sales - Southern LA, & San Bernardino
James comes to us with a background in metal fabrication equipment sales, electrical estimating and PM sales where he worked for many years as a field salesman covering Southern CA and the border. He has many contacts within our customer base which will allow him to quickly rebuild customer rapport and aid in a seamless transition. With his experience and relationships he has worked directly with facility managers, design engineers, project managers and procurement managers in gaining wins and finding solutions. His experience, professionalism and sales ability will help to ensure Astron new business opportunities and growth.
Marissa Ferreira, Field Sales Northern California
Marissa joined Astron at the age of 17. Her hard work and perseverance impressed us so much, we sent her to Sacramento to open up our Northern California Office. Now at the old age of 21, she calls on OEM's in Northern California and Nevada. Being a millennial, Marissa is able to successfully interact with the numerous start-ups in the Silicon Valley. Her versatile personality also allows her to network with engineers, buyers, and everyone in between. When she is not out in the field, she will follow up with existing customers and cross sell on other lines we represent. Marissa is determined to grow the territory so she can retire by the time she is 25. 

Armando Corona, Field Sales - San Diego & Mexico
Armando graduated from Instituto Tecnologico in Tijuana Mexico with a MS in Manufacturing Engineering and a BS in Industrial Electronic Engineering.  Armando brings over 15 years experience dealing with Maquiladora companies in Mexico, the last 4 with Astron.  His last position was with GL Smith and Associates.  Prior to that he worked as a Component Engineer for Sony in San Diego and Tijuana. 

Beth Tennessen, Distribution Manager & Field Sales Riverside
Beth has been with Astron for over 9 years.  She was promoted from customer service to inside sales and then on to Distribution Manager.  As Distribution Manager she refers new opportunities and qualified leads to an appropriate distribution partner.  Reviews and discusses each distributors POS reports with Product Managers to identify new business opportunities.   Assists customers and distributors with samples, quotes, orders, and other requests. Provide distributors with up to date literature & marketing material. Train the distributor sales teams on new products and how to identify potential customers.  Follow up on all referred trade show, internet, principal, and other marketing leads.  Go on buddy calls and visit with individual distributors branches on a weekly basis.  Beth also handles the Riverside territory as a direct field salesperson.
Jennifer Dinovelli, Office Manager
Jennifer process all sample, quote, and other customer requests for the field salespersonnel.  She is automatically copied on emails to the fiels sales staff so she can monitor them while the salespeople are in the field selling.  Jennifer process all commissions from the factories and calculates them for the OSR's.  She is responsible for running and managing all principal reports and our ESI CRM Database.
Andrew McFall, Inside Sales
Andrew
is currently going to Cal State Fullerton, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He was previously at Tomlin Scientific, where he was involved with R&D in the lab and QC. Prior to Tomlim, his experience was in sales and customer service. Andrew makes phone calls to existing customers and works to sell them on other lines we represent. All non-focus account sample and quote requests that Astron receives, Andrew will immediately follow up on and try to get them to place an order. He also ensures that all orders placed with Astron turn into repeat business, by following up with the customers after the PO has been shipped. Andrew also supports the outside sales team while they are out on the road. His quick learning skills help him take on any new task we throw his way!
